Founder and CEO

Eric Rieger

Eric Rieger is the Founder and CEO of WEBIT Services, Inc., an employee-owned Managed IT and Security Service Provider (MSP/MSSP) headquartered in Naperville, Illinois. Since establishing WEBIT in 1996, Eric has guided the company’s growth from a small IT support provider into a values-driven organization that delivers technology strategy, cybersecurity, and managed services for purpose-driven businesses.

Under Eric’s leadership, WEBIT has embraced employee ownership to ensure long-term independence and shared success. Today, WEBIT is one of only 270 employee-owned companies in Illinois and just 6,900 nationwide, a distinction that reflects Eric’s belief that businesses should serve both people and profit. This ownership model strengthens the company’s culture and aligns its growth directly with the well-being of its employee-owners.

Eric provides the vision and direction across WEBIT’s divisions: SecureBIT, which focuses on managed IT and cybersecurity services, and Upstream Impact, which develops software solutions such as PantryEasy, a platform helping food pantries and food banks streamline operations.

Throughout his career, Eric has been recognized for his commitment to ethics and innovation. WEBIT is the only two-time recipient of the Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Ethics in its industry, underscoring his belief that strong values and transparency are essential to lasting client relationships. Beyond his role at WEBIT, Eric shares insights on leadership, ethics, and the future of technology through his blog, Cogs and Consciousness.
